Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my friend is being taken back for a child support review. it has been less that three years seine the amount was originally set. she makes around $1200 a month and i know the state of Texas can take up to 30% for her three children. The main problem is if they take that amount she will not longer be able to afford her bills and rent. what if anything can she do to keep her ex and state from taking that much so she can still have a roof over her head.

Her child support can be reviewed annually. The TX A G usually only reviews every 3 years.

She can hire an attorney to represent her and make sure that the amount she is paying is fair.

Her child support obligation comes BEFORE her rent, etc.

If she cannot afford rent, then she needs to get a roommmate or lower her costs.

If she wants a consultation, I charge $2 per minute to talk to her. She can email me at [email protected] or call me at 713-847-6000. If you want to come to the meeting, you can do that if she wants you to come with her.
