Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My friend, her two children, and I currently share a rental house. She is going through a divorce and has just recently signed her final decree. In the decree it states she must disclose email addresses and telephone numbers for their father to contact them. He has an email addresss for both children and he provides a cell phone to call them on. \n\nHe has recently stated he is turning the cell phone off and demands that my friend, his ex wife, he have the house phone number to call the kids on. The thing is, the phone is not in her name and she is not on the account for it. It is listed under my name and I am the one who pays the bill. Now because it is not her number to give out since it is not in her name, does she still have to give it out to the ex husband?

I think you are trying to split hairs and could get your \"friend\" into trouble. I haven\'t read the decree and so can\'t comment on what it says, but you make the spirit of the order pretty clear. Dad gets contact info on the kids. I bet he has to provide mom with the same info so she can contact the kids when they are with dad.\n\nDoesn\'t mom have a cell phone?? She can give him her number if you don\'t want him to have your home number. She could get the kids a cell phone and use that number. At this point in time there are several low cost plans, prepaid phones and add-a-phone options.\n\nFor educational purposes only. No attorney-client relationship was created by this communication.
