Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have a friend of mine thats trying to get away from her abusive husband, when he beats her a trie to defen herself she gets arrested for domestic abuse, he's even cracked her cheek bone, he also has friends in alot of high place to get rid of any evidence against him but she still has the picture from that incident, He has also told her that if she leaves he will harm her and/or her family. I've been helping her set up a way out but recently found out that he has her cell, business, and home phones tapped. He's also has some friends in the police department so they always back him up. What can be done to ensure her protection in getting her out of there and continued protection for her and her family

She needs to leave the house (permanently) some time when he's not home, and file a petition for divorce AND for a family violence protection order.

Her safety should be your first concern.

She needs a safety plan.

A protection order is only a piece of paper. Many women are killed while they are waiting for a protection order to be issued or after they receive one.

You need to call and talk to someone at a woman's shelter about things that can be done to keep her safe. There a places she can go where she cannot be located. She should not take anything in case he has GPS trackers on "things". If he has phones tapped, then I can only assume that he has GPS on things to know where she is.

She can replace "stuff". She cannot replace her life. Her safety is her #1 concern.

I don't know where she lives.

If you want a consultation about things she can do or think about doing, I charge $2 per minute to talk. I assume it would take a miniumum of an hour to 2 hours to discuss what she should consider doing before leaving her husband.
