Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

a friend thats 28 yrs old, found out that his aunt & uncle that supposedly adopted him at age 2, didnt do it. Hes carried their last name his entire life. He has a social security card and drivers liscense, has a job working for the state of tx, is married w/ 2 children and all carry the last name, which is fraudulent. Hes positive his "folks" somehow made him a birth certificate and thats how hes obtained his necessary card, license etc. I told him he needs to get legal counsel now. Any suggestions or advice on what to do?

I find it hard to believe that he has a birth certificate, social security card, drivers license, etc. that is fradulent - especially since he is 28 yrs. old and the laws have made it so difficult. It was easy to do this 60 yrs. ago. Very difficult to pull this off for someone under the age of 40.

He needs to talk to an attorney.

He needs to find someone in his county to assist him.

The story you are telling is unbelievable. There is a 1% chance that it is true.

I'd quit looking on-line and just go see an attorney.
