Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I got full custody of my daughter in Virginia. My ex ran the state to Texas. I came to Texas to get my daughter and she will not give her up. Police dont want to do anything it seems. Trying to get info on who I need to talk to to get something done

It sounds as if the other State gained exclusive continuing jurisdiction over the child when it issued a final order granting you �full custody.� The order from the other state is considered a �foreign order� and should be registered (in the appropriate court in Texas) with a request for enforcement. In certain circumstances, Texas Courts will issue warrants to take possession of children.
