Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

gift given by ex spouse

In 2004 my ex husband purchased an acura mdx for me for xmas. 12/2006 it was stolen. 2/2007 he purchased a bmw 530 for me to replace mdx. We have a child together and have been divorced 10 years. We still travel spend holidays and time together as a family. We do not live together. Recently he has become angry with me and accused me of things I have not done. He now wants the car back and also wants to drop me from health insurance he provides me. I have a preexisting thyroid disease that will have to monitored the rest of my life. I do not have near the means financially as he does and this will have a major impact on me financially. In the past he filed a frivilous custody suit for the sole purpose of draining me financially. Do I have any rights whatsoever to the insurance or the car? There are many witnesses that can testify to the fact that this was a gift to me and not a temporary loan. Please advise

Re: gift given by ex spouse

I don't see any obligation for him to continue giving you things unless there is some provision in the divorce. Consult a lawyer in your area.
