Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My girlfriend used to have anger issues where she would scream and yell at me over the phone. Unfortunalely, my teenage step-daughters over heard that and told their mom. Now my ex is threatening to sue me for sole custody of our 7 year old daughter. My girlfreind has undergone anger managment and is a changed person. She is not violent in any way. My ex screams at me in front of the kids as well as at the kids.. using profanity all the time. Can a judge prevent me from seeing my girlfriend because of her past anger?

It sounds as if your stepdaughters are trying to manipulate you. Don't let them get away with it.
It IS possible for a judge to make an order that says "Jeff Wilson is ordered not to allow his daughter to be in the presence of Wanda Smith," but there's no such thing as a judge prohibiting YOU from dating someone.
