Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex girlfriend and I broke up 7 or 8 months ago. She took my son with her to California. I give her $700 a month for him and she wont help me see him and wont let me bring him back to Texas to visit with my family. What do I do? We havent been to a court or lawyer or anything.

You will want to look at section 159.201 of the Texas Family code. You probably have the right to file your paternity action here in Texas, get her served in California, and have the fight (if there is one) here in the Texas courts.
