Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My girlfriend last year agreed to give her dad temporary joint managing conservator of her 5 year old son while she finished up her schooling. Her sons dad has been in jail all of his sons life. Recently got out on parole.
In the court order it reads something along the lines hes not obligated to pay child support if the child is with a nonparent conservator.
I'm trying to figure out. Is a grandparent a nonparent conservator? I feel they are a nonparent conservator but then i think about the wording grandPARENT.
Can someone please define the above thanks so much
