Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My girlfriend and I have been together for 11years. I am divorced but she is still legally married but separated. We live in Texas, does this mean we are common law married? My house is in my name, does she have any rights to it?

In Texas, you can only legally be married to one person at a time.

I do face-to-face meetings for $1 per minute to answer your questions. I think it would be worth it. Most people stay 1-3 hours.

Based on what you have written, if your girlfriend is married - she needs to get a divorce from her spouse. In Texas you may only have one spouse at any specific time. As for the house being in your name, it sounds like it may be considered your separate property. You should consider consulting with a local law firm to assist you with protecting your rights and interests. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for an initial consultation.
