Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

please give answer

When a woman is 17 can she legally move out? She is currently 16. She does not get along with her mother. Her family is confusing me. She is not sure if her step dad and step mom have any rights to her and such.

Is ain't a woman until she turns 18.

Normally the police will not force her to move home once she turns 17.

Being 17 is a strange age legally - for most criminal proceedings being 17 is an adult but for civil proceedings they are still considered a child.

If you are over 18 and you are thinking about letting her live with you & you are male, I advise against it! Especially if you are more than 2 years older than she is.
