There is a procedure called service by publication where the notice of the case is published in a newspaper. The court will have to hire an attorney to try to find him and, if not, represent him. This makes the case cost more and take longer. Frequently the attorney will find him and that cost is wasted. You should not do this by yourself because if you don't do it right, you might later find that you are not divorced.

Your attorney should be very familiar with this process.
