Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

im a grandmother who has custody of my six year old grandson, i also have a court order signed by the judge that says so . i have not had physical custody of the child in two years . does this mean that i lost custody of the child even though the court order has not been modified? the child is also in another county and im unable to have contact with him . how would i go about this situation?

You definately need to meet with an attorney face-to-face to discuss your problems. This is NOT an appropriate forum to answer such complex legal questions.

I don't understand how you can have legal custody but not have the child in your possession and not be able to have contact with him.

If you want a consultation, I charge $1 per minute. Most people stay 90-180 minutes.
