Can a grandparent get court ordered visitation rights even if the childs parents are not married?

Maybe, maybe not. The answer does not depend upon the marriage of the parents, but the situation. Grandparents will need to first establish standing to claim visitation with the court. Only in limited circumstances can a grandparent establish standing to intervene. Talk with a lawyer.
