Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Grandparent rights

Bio father wants to give up rights to our 4 yr old son. My fiance wants to adopt. Grandmother that has not been very active in his life wants visitation. I agreed as long as bio father is not involved. She does not agree saying ''You can't control me''. Wants to go to court. I think it would only hurt my son if bio father is involved after giving up rights and he has a new father. What can I/ they do?

Re: Grandparent rights

The first thing you need to do is consult with an attorney. There are too many questions that need answering to give any specfic answers. It would be well worth your time and money to at least pay for a consultation to get your questions answered. I would be happy to discuss this matter with you during a consultation.
