Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Grandparent rights over my child

Do grandparents have the right to sue for visitation if they can't prove that I will harm the child? I thought that if I decided to not let my daughter see them it was my choice not theirs.

Could you advise me on this?

Thanks.

Re: Grandparent rights over my child

Grandparents can sue for "grandparent's rights"

or "grandparent's access" depending on the situation.

The rules are somewhat complex, but it all basically

boils down to what the court believes is the "best

interest of the child."
