Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Grandparent & Sibling visitation rights
My nephew would like to be able to visit with his half-brother and sister, who live with their father in Tyler, Texas. My nephew lives with his grandmother (who is currently petitioning for guardianship) in Arkansas. The mother's whereabouts is unknown.
The step-father has refused to allow my parents or my nephew to see the other two children. I know that Texas has Grandparent's Rights, but I would like to know of what they consist. Also, I know that there is no such thing under Texas law as "sibling rights" (there is such a law in Arkansas), but surely there must be cases where siblings were given a right to visit their brothers and sisters?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Grandparent & Sibling visitation rights
These rights must be asserted in a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship. The judge will decide the visitation issue in the best interests of a child. You would be better off to consult an attorney in your area to initiate these proceedings.
