Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Grandparents Pick up Kids every weekend but they dont see dad
About a year ago my ex husband filed for divorce. We were never married but lived together for several years and had three children. We split up and he disappeared for 2 years then filed a divorce in the public notices stating they could not find me (I have lived in the same place and worked at the same job for 9 years). So I hired an attorney to represent me. My ex's attorney was real easy to work with but his parents intervened. My attorney was scared to death of their attorney (they have a lot of money I don't) she kept saying ''XX is a real @@@ I think we should just agree'' so when the divorce was final Dad is to have standard visitation for parents who live over 100 miles and grandparents are to have them every 5th weekend. The grandparents are designated adults to pick the children up. Problem is the grandparents dont care for me and make that know to my children. They rarely see their father. Maybe once a month. Can I prevent them from going with the grandparents since they dont see their dad? What can I do they live in one town and Dad lives in another over 200 miles. I am at a loss they say they can pick them up since they are designated adults for the father.

You can file for a modification and argue that what is actually happening is a corruption of the decree entered.
