Grandparents rights

What legal rights do I have as a grandparent concerning visitation of my grandchildren?

After the U S Supreme Court case commonly referred to a Troxel, my general reply would be --not much!

However, Texas does have a few limited circumstances where a grandparent can have standing to sue to see their grandchildren. For example, if their son or daughter is dead or if they are in prison, then the grandparents can "step into their shoes".
