Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

grandparents rights

How can we get legal rights to be able to pick up grandchildren and take shopping, to movies, six flags, park or even to our home for visit? We been told can only see them at their home by daughter & stepfather to one of children. Reason given - after us having 30 yrs marriage separated 4 mos now we are better & working out, dont drink smoke or do drugs but being penalized for issues which even they have issues. Now can only visit grand kids at their house & can't take them anywhere.

Re: grandparents rights

If your daughter is their mother, then you must abide by her rules.

After the U S Supreme Court case a few years ago, (Troxell) grandparents rights were limited.

Be nice to your daughter if you want to see your grandchildren.
