Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Grandparents rights
My 10 yr old granddaughter has been begging me to let her talk to a judge. She wants to live with me. My son never married her mother and the child is afraid of her step-father. I know that I can not afford to fight for custody but I need to know how to go about getting regular visitation. My problem is, the step-father calls all the shots and has indicated that he hates me and wants me out of their lives. My granddaughter lived with me 85% of her first 6 years. I am not trying to be vendictive, I just want to see my granddaughter without having to fight the step-father. Do I need a lawyer or is there a more affordable route? Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

Re: Grandparents rights
Getting a lawyer is the least expensive alternative in order to secure your visitation rights. Grandparents do have rights of visitation, and the judge would very likely want to hear your granddaughter's story. If you want to discuss representation with me, call 1-877-320-5232.
