Grandparents Visitation Rights when 1 parent is incarcerated

My son has is incarcerated and has een since Octoer. 2005. He has a daughter out of wedlock who is wearing his last name and he is listed on the birth certificate. Since He has been locked up the mother of the child refuses to let the child visit. Is there anything I can do legally to get visitation privilidges.

You will need to file a Petition to determine parentage and then ask the court for your visitation--however it can not interfere with the mother's right to raise the child. If you are in the Houston area contact us for further assistance.
