Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my two grandson since 7/3/2009 are living with me, the mother obtained custody in 2008.Less than a year later, and because of her abusive boyfriend they are now living back with me. they caused damage to a neighbor's vehicle and damages has to be paid. the mother is refusing to pay saying they are under my care and i am resposible. Also because of a medical emergency I had to take one of them to the hospital she allowed their medical to lapse and I am now being billed for the hospital bills, she is also saying I am responsible for that as well.

You need to file a motion with the Court asking that (a) you be appointed managing conservator of the children and (b) Mom be ordered to pay you child support every month.

Or: File a lawsuit (against Mom) under provisions of section 151.001(c) of the Texas Family Code for reimbursement for your actual expenditures for the grandsons. That should get her attention.

Your alternative is: Pack up the grandsons' stuff, take them over to Mom's house, and drop them off. Then change the locks on your doors and unplug your phone.
