Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was granted a divorce in Colorado 6 years ago. My ex-wife moved to Wyoming with our three children which was over 100 miles away right after the divorce was granted. Last year I got laid off from my job, my car was repossessed and I lost my appartment. I moved in with my sister and then went to Texas to visit a friend and look for work. I have been paying $950 per month in child support over the last 6 years. After our divorce my ex-wife didn't work but went to school to get her RN degree. A lot has changed since our divorce and I need to get my child support lowered until I find a job.

Please let me know which state can I file a Motion to reduce my child support payments in?

You need to find the court of continuing jurisdiction. This is the court where the divorce is entered unless and until someone changes it. Suggest you contact the district clerk of the county where the divorce was granted and find out if the that court is still the court of continuing jurisdiction.

Suggest you get in touch with an attorney licensed to practice in that state.
