Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I was granted temporary custody of my nephew by CPS in Texas. He was removed from the home due to violence and drug use. I do not want the child to return to his parents. Can I adopt him? If so, can I revoke visitation of the parents as well?

How long have you had possession of the child. You can ask CPS to petition on your behalf for termination and adoption, or you can retain an attorney to represent you.
