Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Guardianship

My daughter is about to have a baby. There is a chance she might have to go to jail in the near future. Can she give me temporary guardianship while she serves her jail time?

If so, how? Does she need to have this in place when she has the baby? She has a misdeameanor possession of marajuana charge against her.

Re: Guardianship

Guardianship is not custody. You can be a guardian and not necessarily get custody. If you want custody you should file a suit affecting parent child relationship for custody.
