Re: guardianship

An attorney doesn't have to sign a Power of Attorney for it to be valid, but it does need to be notarized. A power of attorney is not the same as a guardianship. Many people do not understand the uses and effects of the different types of powers of attorney. Feel free to call my office if you would like to set up a consultation, and please be very careful about using the forms you can buy at the office supply store or on the internet. Many of them are not actually designed for Texas.
