Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Do I get half of my mother's estate?
My mother passed away 2 years ago and my father is selling their house. He will close around the 20th of this month. He called me yesterday and said I will have to sign the paperwork also when he closes? What does this mean? Thank you.

It means that you should have a Wills and Estates attorney read your mother's will. You may have a claim to property, of which you are unaware.

I agree with Theresa Langford.
Don't sign anything unless you understand it.
I'd run (not walk) to a probate attorney for help.
