Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Handling an Uncontested Divorce
My wife lives in North Carolina we have one child, we both have moved on and I have lived in Texas for the last five years. We both agree that it needs to be done but how would we do it without having to hire a lawyer and not be out of so much money. There is already a child support order.

go to the law library and find a few good books on divorce. Depending on your ability and dedication, you'll probably be ready in a few days, few weeks or maybe a few months.

If you already set up visitation and child support, you've done the hart part.
I assume the child support was handled in NC. So get a certified copy of the order and file the divorce in that state.
