Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

What could happen if I do not do everything my court papers say?

My ex and I have standerd custody papers and rights. It states in our papers that both parents have the right to now were the child atends school and Daycare, I do not tell my ex everytime I change my sons daycare, and I do not put him on the emergency contact list when I do the paper work. Do to him liveing 30 to 40 min. away. What will the courts do when we go to court next time and he tell them that I am not doing what the papers are stating about the daycare? Can someone please answer my question so I know what I could expect to might happen?

The worst that could happen is that you could be found in contempt if your X files a motion to request and if you keep refusing to obey the court's order, then you could be put in jail and the child given to your X. I've seen that happen a couple of times when mothers think they don't have to obey the court's order. Good Luck.

The judge will expect you to abide by the orders requiring that you share information and make information available to the ex. You can expect a lecture from the judge and maybe worse, particularly if the ex files another complaint later.

I suggest you contact a lawyer.
