Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

health coverage during divorce

At my husband's request, I quit my job and took our son to go live overseas with him in July '08. I have been unemployed since then. My husband works for a U.S. based Bank but is on assignment overseas until May 2010. Before leaving, we had a pending divorce in place but put it on hold to give our marraige one last try. We didn--name removed--get along overseas either so I returned along with our son, to the U.S. last month (Jan 8, 2009). My husband is still working overseas. I found out mid january that he had me terminated from his employer's health insurance policy on 12/31/08- without my knowledge. I have no other form of coverage. Temporary Orders were set last week that state my husband has to maintain health insurance coverage on me. My question is if he dropped coverage in December and I left in January, is this order enough to make him put me back on his employer's policy? Also, can I legally send his human resources department a copy of this order to prompt them to place me back on his policy?

Sounds like you have an attorney of your own. Ask him or her your questions. If you don't have an attorney you should find one.
