Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Hello,

I wanted to know if I have to get a divorce ? I have been with a man ( yes I call him my husband & he calls me his wife) for over 15yrs now. I do use his last name and have his medical INS. And bills are under his last name ETC. We did buy a house also together 6yrs ago.I just was wondering what my rights would be. If i have any ???

Based on what you have written, it appears that under the Texas Family Code you may be considered common law married. As such, upon a divorce, you should be entitled to an equitable division of the community estate (marriage property and debts).
