Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Hello,

My husband and I divorced in 2008 and in the divorce decree we both agreed if the house was sold that we both would be responsible whether it was a profit or loss. In September of same year he signed a quitclaim deed over to me. My question, is he still responsible if I sell the house?

I would have to review what he signed. Typically, you would both be responsible for the losses (assuming you both co-signed the note.) If the house hasn't sold, and you're going to sell it for less than owed, you should check with the bank, as they may waive their right to go after you all. Feel free to call me to discuss further.
