Hidden Assets

HI, Thanks for you help,

The situation here i a friend of mine recently let me know that my very recently ex wife has several off shore accounts and during the divorce apparently has bought a house(new Zealand) valuing around $400,000. Can i demand my share of the offshore assets and the out of country real estate.

Yes you still have a right to the undisclosed assets and assets that were no dealt with in the judgment. In addition you may be entitled to a penalty of up to 100% of the undisclosed asset. Get an attorney. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

In a general sense, if your wife failed to disclose the existance of assets in her preliminary and or final declarations of disclosure, there is case law to support the proposition that you should be awarded ALL of the undisclosed assets.
