Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I hired an attorney who is not representing me, missed my 1st court date and will not take my calls. How do I go about getting my retainer back, so I can hire another before my next court date?

Send your lawyer a letter, both certified and regular mail, detailing your complaints, and giving a date, that you will come to the office to pick up your file and your retainer. If you cannot get a satisfactory resolution, ask the State Bar to mediate a resolution.
