Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Home after the Children are gone

My ex-husband was given the family home, so our son could continue and graduate from the high school he had started. Our son is now out on his own, and in the divorce I was given 1/2 the profit from the sale of the house. My question is: Is there any time limit on his selling the house now that our son is grown? Can I force him to sell?

Your divorce decree should have some language addressing this issue. If it does not, you still could force the issue by filing a suit for partition.
