Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Husband is adopting my son

My husband is in the process of adopting my 10 year old son. He met his biological father when he was 2 yrs. old, but has never seen him or kept any kind of relationship with him. He would send $200 of child support (an agreement between the two of us, not court appointed) whenever he could. Up until a year ago he has sent payments because it was court ordered. He signed his parental rights and a few weeks back he came around demanding that he has rights to see my son and take him out of state for vacation. He states that since he is still paying child support he has every right to see him. My son doesn't know him and the adoption is still in the working process. What can you advise? Does he have rights, although he already legally signed a document?

Re: Husband is adopting my son

I guess he has legally signed a document, but there has been no order terminating his parental rights. Thus, technically, he still has the parental rights that he is going to surrender but has not been ruled upon by the court yet.
