Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband is an alcoholic and I am scared that he will hurt someone and we will loose everything. I don't really want a divorce but I feel I need to do something to protect myself financially. Is there anything I can do? We have a business and farm.

Is there a pastor, or a friend, or a close relative who could sit down with your husband and have a serious talk with him?

What would happen if YOU sat down with him and told him that you're worried about him, and you're thinking about filing for divorce just so that you can protect yourself financially?
