Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My husband attacked me and our 13 year old son. He was arrested and charged with assualt causing bodily injury/family violence. CPS came to my house that evening and talked to me and my son, seperately. Another lady from CPS recently visited my husband in jail and said that I told the police that he hit me with a rhinestone belt, which I never said. Then she showed up at my sons school yesterday and asked him if my husband had a belt in his hand when he attacked me. There was no belt involved. What can I do in regards to seeing the report she is reading/getting her information from? Supposedly the report from the police says "suspected drug use" and now I'm not allowed to be alone with my son because of this "report". The police who responded (all 6 of them) said it was obvious I wasn't on drugs and don't look like I do drugs at all. I believe the first lady from CPS was inexperienced and lied on her report. What Can I do?

You need to hire a lawyer. And, there will be a police report on the incident. But, if CPS is involved, they will cause issues that you need to have representation regarding - especially because of the allegation of drug abuse.
