Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband is attempting to remove the "shack up clause" from our papers and while I do not mind and will willingly sign an agreement removing it as we have both been in relationships lasting over a year, do we still have to appear before a judge? Every other change (schooling, possession times, address) states we can sign an agreement to the new arrangement and file with the court. Is this the case in this retrospect? Please advise.

Yes, you have to get a judge's signature on an agreed order; otherwise, the agreement isn't binding.
