my husband is a co buyer on my car, how can i take him off ?

I wnat to buy a new car and we are divorcing in not good terms.

First, you don't want to buy a new car during the divorce. It will most likely be community property and just muddy the waters. Just stay with that car until the divorce is final. In the divorce, ask that you be awarded that car and that he sign a Power of Attorney to Transfer Title to Motor Vehicle, which will allow you to sell/trade the car.
