Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband had a daughter 6yrs. ago and was not allowed to be apart of her life for 3 yrs. The mother got married, divorced and lost custody of her to the stepfather. The fact my husband is the real father (not stated on birth certificate) how can we go about getting custody of her?

Generally, a Court will not allow a step-parent to have custody of a step-child unless other factors regarding the biological parents are established by Court order. You husband should contact a local law firm to assist you with the process of obtaining his rights and potential custody of his daughter. If my local law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for an initial consultation.
