Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my husband and I are getting a divorce after

38 yrs of marriage. His lawyer has set a

date with the court, for trial on merits,

because I havent sign the final decree.

I will be signing the final decree prior to

trial. My question is, if decree is signed

prior to the trial , why would the trial

still have to take place.

If you sign the decree, there will be no trial. I really hope you have a lawyer advising you.
