Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my husband and i are getting a divorce. we own property and are trying to sale it. he has been telling me for over a month that he is giving me all of the money from the sale of the land so i will be able to purchase a new home for our 2 children to live in. Does the promisorry note have to be noterized in the state of texas to make it a legal documetn?

No, a promissory note does not have to be notarized.
