Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband and I drew up and signed an agreement stating that if my husband filed for divorce, he would pay me 6 million dollars. (he has it). We had the contract notorized. Is this a valid contract and will it be upheld in court. We drew this up because he had a habit of threatening divorce to get me to submit to his will. He signed it in order to assure me he would stop doing this. Is this enforcable in court?

I would meet with an attorney and make sure that I had every t crossed and every i dotted!

I would not merely ask an attorney that I had never met on a free internet website if I'd done everything!

I have not read this legal document so I cannot give you binding legal advice.

There are about a dozen questions that I have about this "valid contract". I would probably want want some collateral to insure that if he does not pay that you have some recourse.

For $6 million it is definately worth paying a few hundred dollars to an attorney to protect yourself.
