Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My husband and his ex-wife had an agreement for child support, that he would give her the cash and they would both sign a piece of paper stating that the child support had been paid, and then he took a new job and got behind. So his ex-wife filed with the Texas Attorney General's office and she didn't turn in all of the payments that she had received, and now the Attorney General's office is telling him that the paperwork doesn't count and that he has to repay the payments that he has already paid. So, my question is, what can we do about it?

1. Hire an attorney.
2. Be nice to the ex-wife and hope that her "memory" will be refreshed!
