My husband has filed for divorce in Texas? How can I get alimony from him?

In Texas it's called spousal support. You need to "plead" for it. You also need to qualify for it under TX Family Code.

Is there physical abuse that you have documented?

A protective order?

Were you married over 10 years?

Are you disabled?

You need to meet with an attorney in your county to discuss.

Texas has limited spousal support.
