Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My ex husband has filed papers with the AG to get his child support lowered because he got a new job that pays less. We have 3 children, 1 with special needs and I work p/t because of her. Can the $$ stay the same - who will make up the difference? I don't have family to help because they live far away and I am forced to stay here because of this domestile restriction. He doesn't want custody of the kids but he does want to cut the c/s and still have visitation because he feels entitled to it for the $$ he gives up. Long story short there's more to this than the average normal family that needs to be taken into consideration with this adjustment. Please don't tell me to hire an attorney - my c/s is going to be reduced. Can the AG office deny the reduction?

An AG office doesn't grant or deny anything. Judges do that. You aren't limited by what the AG wants or doesn't want.
You can ask the Court to set child support higher than the guidelines, based on one of the children having special needs (you should be prepared to show why the special need causes you extra expense, and you should be able to document the amount per month).
