Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Husband hid assets during divorce

I believe my husband hid stock holdings during our divorce. He recently sold the stock and made enough money to quit his job! We've been divorced for 2 years. Do I have any right to the stock or money made after its sale?

Re: Husband hid assets during divorce

The fact that the stock has been sold makes no difference to whatever rights you have to it. The Family Code provides that, unless otherwise agreed, undivided assets are subject to the same "just and right" division as assets at divorce are. However, there may be language in your decree that would change this result. Also, it is important to know the history of the case - in other words, what your ex-husband did to conceal the stock - to really get a good feel for your chances.
