Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex husband was incarcurated for 9 years after we divorced. He has been out for over 3 years now. I have been trying to get a review for modification for child support which will now go to court. Meanwhile, a letter was sent to me titled "Respondent's Original Answer" which notes that he wants to be forgoven for the full 9 years along with for me to pay for his court/attorney costs/fees. Currently i do not have an attorney. What do you suggest?

Thank you in advance!

His lawyer is an idiot. The back child support will NOT be forgiven. And the judge will NOT order you to pay HIS attorney.

You probably need an attorney to represent you. I assume that the Attorney General is involved.
